Damon A. Colangelo, Esq.
Damon A. Colangelo is an experienced trial attorney and the founder of Colangelo Law, P.A. Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 2003, Damon ethically and aggressively has represented his clients in litigation throughout the State of Florida.
Damon was born on Miami Beach in 1978, and has lived in South Florida his entire life. After graduating from Miami Country Day School in 1996, he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000. He then attended the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, in 2003. While attending law school, he was an officer and active participant with the UF Trial Team.
During his first eight years of practice, Damon worked with seasoned litigation partners at respected Florida and national law firms representing corporations and insurance carriers. This experience provided a unique perspective of how the defense side operates. The practice areas included trucking and auto accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, construction site accidents, products liability, insurance coverage disputes and labor & employment claims.
In 2012, Damon left the defense side and started working with one of the largest injury firms in the country handling litigation in circuit and federal courts throughout Florida. At that point, he no longer represented corporations, instead devoting 100% of his practice time to representing injured claimants and their families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.
In 2016, Damon founded Colangelo Law, P.A, a personal injury boutique headquartered in the Health District near Downtown Miami.
For over twenty years, Damon has acted as lead counsel in thousands of cases and dozens of jury trials in state and federal courts throughout Florida. He has recovered tens of millions of dollars through settlement and jury verdict for his clients. Attorneys regularly seek his expertise as co-counsel or just to offer insight on complex injury matters.
When not practicing law, Damon enjoys spending time with his family and friends, boating, swimming, art, architecture, concerts and playing chess.

Cinthya Sanz is the head paralegal at Colangelo Law, P.A. She joined the firm in 2018, specializing in both litigation and pre-litigation personal injury matters. She also assists with client contact, firm management, technology and logistics.
She has over five years of experience in the fields of personal injury, personal injury protection (PIP) and medical billing. Prior to joining Colangelo Law, Cinthya personally managed thousands of personal injury and PIP cases for two large, national law firms.
Cinthya earned her Associate’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Palm Beach State College, and received additional paralegal training at Florida Atlantic University, an ABA approved paralegal program. She currently is working to complete her Bachelor’s Degree at Harvard Extension School. Driven by her compassion for helping our clients and her own experiences in the legal field, Cinthya aspires to attend law school in the near future.
In her spare time, Cinthya enjoys helping others and staying involved in the community. She is a former Guardian Ad Litem for the 17th Judicial Circuit, and an active volunteer member of Feeding South Florida. She also is a sponsor for World Vision USA, an organization that aids communities to lift people out of poverty.
